Departure #fridayflash #fridayfictioneers #100words

It's always been my favorite day of week, and now I have another reason I look forward to Fridays.

FRIDAY FLASH FICTION WITH THE FRIDAY FICTIONEERS!

Madison Woods is the founder of this fun group. Here's the picture she posted for our flash fiction prompt this week:

Departure

At dawn each morning
He comes to me with the mist.
Why must they leave me?

  1. Love that you did a haiku for the Friday Flash -- I might copy you next week if the photo lends itself to that sort of inspiration.

    Anyway, fabulous imagery!

  5. I'm like Tiyana in that it amazes me how much can be said with so few words. Thank you for hanging out with us today even though you're at OCW :)

  6. Hi Jan,

Loved your minimalist approach to this Friday's submission. Well done.

(Did you know that the first three numbers of most haiku, Maui phone numbers are 5, 7, and 5? It's true.)

    Aloha,

  7. Haiku? I like it - a LOT! Great addition to the Fictioneers collection! I may have to try my hand at this.

  8. Sorry for the delay in responding, everyone. I've been at the Ozark Creative Writers Conference since Thursday. A great conference, if you ever have the chance to attend. Thanks all, for your comments. I enjoyed reading all of your flash fiction stories, too. Amazing what we can say in so few words.
